Pipeline: Clippers win fourth-straight game; Akron begins six-game road trip

The Columbus Clippers won their fourth straight game and set a new season-high in runs as they defeated the Louisville Bats 15-5.

Hitting Notes:
• DH RICHIE SHAFFER went 2-for-4 with a grand slam, raising his organization-high totals to 11 homers and 43 RBI... CF MIKE PAPI also went 2-for-4 with four RBI, col - lecting a two-run double and a two-run homer... C ADAM MOORE was 1-for-5 with a three-run homer, while recent acquisition SS JOSH WILSON went 3-for-4 with three runs scored...six Clippers batters recorded multi-hit efforts on the day.

Pitching Notes:
• RHP JULIAN MERRYWEATHER improved to 2-0 in two starts with Columbus, al - lowing four runs on 10 hits over 6.0 innings (0BB, 4K)...Merryweather surrendered three home runs during his outing, but left the game with a 10-4 lead... LHP KYLE CROCKETT and RHP JOSH MARTIN each contributed 1.0 scoreless inning of relief.

The Akron RubberDucks enjoyed an off-day on Monday before beginning a six-game road trip on Tuesday...the Ducks are set to play three games in Portland before travel - ing to New Hampshire to take on the Fisher Cats this weekend. Season.
