OUT OF THE PARK

ByungHo Park has a hit in eight of his last 10 games, batting .346 (9-for-26) with one double, two home runs, two RBI and five walks while striking out seven times in those 10 games.

* Park is second among Twins in average (.361, min. 30 AB), hits (13) and RBI (8), and leads the Twins with four home runs.
* Last spring, he hit .259 (15-for-58) with three doubles, three home runs and tied for team-lead with 13 RBI.
* He split last season between Triple-A Rochester and Minnesota.

WELCOME BACK, BOGEY

Today is Xander Bogaerts’ 1st day in Red Sox Major League Spring Training camp since he left on 2/28 to compete with Kingdom of The Netherlands at the World Baseball Classic.

* The Netherlands went 4-3 in the tournament, with Bogaerts starting all 7 games at 3B (5-for-22, 3B, 7 BB, 1 HBP, 2 RBI, 5 R).
* LHP Fernando Abad (Dominican Republic) and minor league OF Mike Meyers (Israel) also represented the  Red Sox at the WBC. Abad made 4 appearances for the D.R. (2.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 SO), while Meyers  played in 3 games for Israel (0-for-1, BB, 2 R).

SLAMMIN' SAM TRAVIS
Sam Travis has hit .400 and slugged  .700  (30-for-75,  6  2B,  5  HR)  with  26  RBI  in  39 career Grapefruit League games (2015-17).

* Travis  ranks  in  the  top  3  among  club  leaders  in  HR (T-1st, 3), RBI (T-2nd, 12), hits (T-3rd, 13), SLG (2nd, .676), and OPS (2nd, 1.118).
* He also led BOS with 13 RBI in only 18 Grapefruit League games in 2016.
