KANSAS CITY - The Kansas City Royals on Saturday placed 3B Mike Moustakas on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left thumb.
In 25 games with the Royals this season, Moustakas has 25 hits, six doubles, 7 home runs and 13 RBIs in 105 plate appearances and 97 at bats.
In a corresponding move, the Royals recalled INF Cheslor Cuthbert from Triple-A Omaha.
