Twins activate 3B Trevor Plouffe, option SS Joege Polanco

The Minnesota Twins on Tuesday activated 3B Trevor Plouffe from the 15-day disabled list.

Plouffe has 13 hits, four doubles, two home runs and six RBIs in 12 games with the Twins this season.

To make room for Plouffe on their roster, the Twins optioned SS Jorge Polanco to the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings.

Polanco has one hit, one double, and one RBI in five games with the Twins this season. In 11 games this season with Rochester, he has 12 hits, three triples, one home run and one RBI.
