Mets acquire INF Kelly Johnson (again) from Braves in trade

"The Line Drive" Staff Report

The New York Mets on Wednesday acquired infielder Kelly Johnson from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for minor league reliever Akeel Morris.

This is the second time in the past 11 months the Mets have acquired Johnson from the Braves, going back to acquiring him last July along with Juan Uribe.

In that time with the Mets, Johnson hit .250 with five homers in 49 games.

Morris, 23, had 12.8 strikeouts per nine innings this season at Double-A Binghamton.
