The Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday activated RHP Vince Velasquez from the 15-day disabled list.
The Phillies placed Velasquez on the DL on June 10 retroactive to June 9 with a right biceps strain.
The Phillies then sent Velasquez on a rehab assignment to the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils on June 22.
Velasquez has a 5-2 record with a 3.65 ERA, 73 strikeouts and a 1.26 WHIP in 61.2 innings pitched in 2016.
Velasquez was drafted 58th overall in the second round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the Houston Astros.
