Arizona Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said on Monday evening that the team has recalled LHP Keith Hessler from Double-A Mobile and RHPs Evan Marshall and Tyler Wagner have been optioned to Triple-A Reno.

In a corresponding move, the Diamondbacks recalled RHP Dominic Leone from Reno.

Hessler, 27, appeared in 18 games for Arizona last season going 0-1 with an 8.03 ERA (11 runs in 12.1 innings) giving up four home runs, although he did strike out a dozen batters. In seven games with the BayBears this season he had one save and a 5.06 ERA (3 runs in 5.1 IP). He was originally signed as a free agent on June 9, 2011, a year after being drafted by the Diamondbacks in the 28th round. In six minor league seasons the Washington, D.C. native has a 23-16 mark with a 4.12 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.

Marshall, a fourth round pick in the 2011 draft, made five relief appearances with a 3.00 ERA losing his only decision. The 26-year old went 4-4 in 57 games for Arizona in 2014 and has only played in parts of the next two seasons dropping his only three decisions.

Wagner, 25, has not lost his Rookie of the Year status having appeared in just three games for both the Brewers and Diamondbacks. A fourth round pick by Milwaukee in 2012, he was acquired as part of a multi-player trade on January 30, 2016. He is 1-2 with a 5.32 ERA over those six big league games.
