The Baltimore Orioles on Monday claimed RHP David Hale off of waivers from the Colorado Rockies.
Hale has been optioned to Triple-A Norfolk by the Orioles.
Hale, 28, appeared in two games for the Rockies this season. He also made two starts at Triple-A, posting a 1.50 ERA in six innings.
Hale has a 4.48 ERA in 66 games (20 starts) in parts of four Major League seasons with the Atlanta Braves and the Rockies. He's posted a 3.93 career Minor League ERA in 126 games (82 starts).
The Orioles now have a full 40-man roster.
