Rockies acquire 1B Cody Decker from Royals for cash

The Colorado Rockies on Wednesday acquired 1B Cody Decker from the Kansas City Royals in a trade for cash considerations.

Decker will report to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The 29-year-old has played in eight big league games, all of which came last year for the San Diego Padres, where he posted only one RBI and struck out five times in 11 at-bats.


Decker was drafted in the 22ns Round of the 2009 MLB Draft by the Padres.
