Yankees make plenty of roster moves on Saturday morning

BRONX, NY - The New York Yankees made plenty of roster moves on Saturday morning.

Among those moves were the signings of RHP Chad Green and RHP Conor Mullee to Major League contracts. They were selected from Triple-A Scranton/WB.


Green was acquired with Luis Cessa by the Yankees in exchange for Justin Wilson this offseason. Cessa currently has a 4.18 ERA out of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre rotation.


Mullee has a 1.02 ERA, a 3-0 record and 23 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched in 11 games with Scranton/WB this season.


The Yankees also placed RHP Luis Severino on the 15-day disabled list with a right triceps strain, optioned C Gary Sanchez to Scranton/WB. They also transferred RHP Bryan Mitchell and INF Greg Bird to the 60-day disabled list.


The Yankees also announced on Friday that RHP Luis Severino has a mild right triceps strain. He will not pick up a baseball for 5-7 days and will be placed on the 15-day disabled list.
